INDOEX Ship Experiment Page 2

Prior Cruises

In 1995, The University of Maryland, NOAA, and The University of Miami conducted a preliminary experiment in which we measured the composition of the atmosphere over the Indian Ocean from the NOAA Research Vessel M. Baldrige. This cruise confirmed the fundamental hypotheses of INDOEX; in the coming years we will quantify the impact of continental emissions on the composition and radiative properties of the remote marine atmosphere.
